T4B Sp. z o.o. signed a contract with Budimex S.A. for the execution of power (electrical) and extra-low-voltage works as part of the construction of the Road Border Crossing in Dołhobyczów.

The investment covered the electrical installation and ICT infrastructure for the following facilities:

1. Main building

2. Passport–customs pavilions and border services facilities

3. Canopies W1, W2A

The following works were carried out on the above facilities:

Power networks:

• main low-voltage switchboard (RGnn), MV switchboard, transformer substation, diesel generator,

• indoor electrical installations,

• site and canopy lighting,

• canopy gutter de-icing system,

• barrier (road blocker) system,

• electrical and telecom ducting.

“The location and construction of this border crossing is intended to relieve the three existing road border crossings in the Lublin Voivodeship (Dorohusk – Jagodzin, Zosin – Uściług, Hrebenne – Rawa Ruska), where T4B has also performed works. The investment includes the provision of electrical and ICT installations for a new border crossing between Poland and Ukraine,” comments Andrzej Witkowski, Director of the Electrical and ICT Installations Division at T4B.

The Dołhobyczów – Uhrynów Road Border Crossing will fill an existing gap in border infrastructure on this section of the Polish-Ukrainian border, facilitating crossing for travellers and vehicles while relieving neighbouring crossings, especially in Zosin, where border traffic already exceeds throughput parameters twofold.

The new border crossing was also of considerable importance in view of the increased flow of people and vehicles across the Polish-Ukrainian border during the UEFA Euro 2012 finals.
